Matt Schanandore is an internationally known Native American Flutist, who was born and raised in the historical town of Mandan, North Dakota. In June of this year At the Age of 20 Matt released his second set of self titled albums. “A Legacy” is a collection of old-style and contemporary Native American flute music. “Keys to the Soul” is a collection of piano songs with instrumental backgrounds, composed and performed by Matt.

Matt is of European, Native American and Hispanic ancestry. His native heritage originates from the Mandan-Hidatsa tribes of North Dakota and the Oneida tribe of Wisconsin.

Matt’s first music albums "Eagle Dreams" and "A Walk Through Life" were dedicated in memory of his grandmother, Regina Schanandore, and his second sets of albums are a reflection of his diverse heritage. Matt learned to play the piano at an early age with his grandmother as his teacher, who was an accomplished pianist. Matt’s grandmother was also a well known Native American storyteller. It was through her stories that Matt learned about his native heritage.

His songs will continue to be a tribute to the life of this wonderful lady who became Matt’s most significant source of inspiration for his music.
